Upgrade Workshop

8, 2008
A full-day workshop to review the current R&D efforts and to begin
the organization of collaborative efforts for SLHC upgrades to the CMS
Endcap Muon system and trigger. Participants are invited to review the
summaries of the
previous SLHC workshops and the
CMS SLHC proposals
as background
information for discussion.

Meeting starts 9am. Please contact Darin Acosta if you are
interested in making a
presentation.
Topics include the scope of potential upgrades, new technologies
evaluated or planned, simulation results, possibilities to seed a
tracking trigger, etc.

for directions on how to get to the Department. There are several
airport options at ever increasing distance: Gainesville Regional
airport, Jacksonville, Orlando, and Tampa. The drive times for the
latter three vary from 1:45 to 2:15. One update on the directions from
JAX: there is a new road that takes you directly to I-295 (follow
signs).

Block of rooms booked Jan.7 and Jan.8 under "SLHC Conference". The rate
of the rooms varies from $84 to $124 per night depending on the
room. Please reserve by Dec.13. You are
responsible for guaranteeing the room.
