Exam 2 will be held in class on Wednesday, July 1. The exam will start promptly at 9:30 a.m. The exam will consist of 15 multiple-choice questions covering the material in the following chapters of Bueche and Wallach:  § Chapter 22, Sections 1-9 and 13  § Chapter 23, Sections 1-6, 8, and 12  § Chapter 24, Sections 1-10 (but nothing involving the angle phi) There will be roughly five questions from each of the three chapters. The distribution of question types and difficulties will be roughly the same as for Exam 1. You are allowed to bring into the exam only the following:  § one formula sheet for Chs. 22-24 (letter-sized, no problem solutions)  § your formula sheet from Exam 1 (same restrictions as above)  § an electronic calculator  § pencils (number 2) and erasers
