  ANNOUNCEMENTS

Important Notes:

8/5/02

Some miscellaneous comments.

The answer to problem 5 on this semester's exam II (as in the archived exams) is 8.4 ms.  Thiis is the answer in the solutions.  The records will be corrected.

The final exam is on Wednesday August 7, starting at 9:30 AM in the class room.  Please see the announcement of 7/17 for allowed paraphernalia.

The best preparation for the final exam is to master the 3 midterm exams and do the assigned homework for chapters 28 and 29.

I will be out of town on Thursday after the exam, but plan to be back on Friday.  I am planning to post the grades before I leave on Wednesday.

Good Luck and see you on Wednesday.

7/19/02

Quiz III is posted, with solutions here.

7/17/02

Exam III will be on 7/24, during the class, covering chapters 25-27.  In correction to the original syllabus, chapter 25 will be included in this exam.  The follwing problems from Chapter 25 are suggested as additional practice problems (in addition to 1 and 5) 7, 9, 13, 21, 28, 34, 42.

You are allowed to bring a calculator, pencils (2B or darker) and a  formula sheet.  The formula sheet should be on one side of an 8.5X11 paper.  You should have only formulae and constants on this sheet.  Anything more, such as answers to problems, and the formula sheet will be confiscated.

Please practice with old exams.
