Update (1 December 2006) and Previous Updates:

Dear Colleagues:

The Proceedings of the LT24 Conference are now available online.
To access them, first you need to visit:
http://scitation.aip.org/proceedings/confproceed/850.jsp

Then you need to click the “Table of Contents” icon in the upper right hand corner, and this action should take you to: http://scitation.aip.org/dbt/dbt.jsp?KEY=APCPCS&Volume=850&Issue=1

You can then try to access a specific paper in PDF format.  If you or your institution has a subscription to the AIP Proceedings, then you may be able to access the manuscript immediately.  In other instances, security information (username and password) may be requested.  This information is being emailed to participants who attended the meeting and should arrive by 8 December 2006.  If you do not receive this information and you think you qualify to have access to the online proceedings, please use the LT24 email address to request clarification.  If you did not participate in the conference and if your institution does not subscribe to the journal, then you can purchase access to the papers and/or volumes by following the information on the aforementioned webpages.

Many thanks again for making the LT24 Conference a wonderful success!

The Meeting (Brief Overview)

        The Department of Physics at the University of Florida is pleased to host the 24th International Conference on Low Temperature Physics.  This triennial conference has a rich tradition and is the main event sponsored by the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) through its Commission C5 on Low Temperature Physics.  The mandate of the conference is to promote the exchange of information and views among the members of the international scientific community in the general field of Low Temperature Physics, and the main topics are broadly classified into several areas, namely

Quantum Gases, Fluids and Solids;
Superconductivity;
Properties of Solids (including magnetic, mechanical, and thermal properties and phase transitions);
Conducting Electrons in Condensed Matter (including localization, electron transport, and mesoscopic phenomena); and
Materials, Techniques, and Applications.

        The Conference will be held at the Hilton in the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, a suburb of Orlando Florida (Special Hotel Website for LT24  and Special Room Rates and Reservations).  The Hilton in the Walt Disney World Resort is a Four Star, Four Diamond hotel and is an "official" hotel of WALT DISNEY WORLD®.  This Hilton Hotel is located steps away from Downtown Disney®, home of the Disney Marketplace, Pleasure Island, and Disney's West Side.
