Textbook and Links:  The “official” textbook for this course is “Introduction to Electrodynamics, 3rd edition” by David J. Griffiths. As described in the syllabus, for this course, a student can also use the 2nd edition of the same book.  As far as I can tell, there are only small changes between the two versions for the first six chapters, which we expect to cover in this course.  If you anticipate taking the second semester of this course, which covers the material after Chapter 6, you may wish to know that there are some more significant differences between the two versions.  Some notes about corrections are given on the author’s webpage, see David J. Griffiths.
