AntiVirus Software @ the Physics Department

 

There is only one program available to our Physics Department users for AntiVirus software: the University of Florida's licensed version of McAfee Antivirus. Any computer that will be used on our network must have the special Physics optimized installation of McAfee installed on it. This version of McAfee can be obtained by visiting our Computer Support Center in room 2121.

 

Anti-Virus Software

  • McAfee VirusScan Enterprise Edition:
    • Version 8.0i

    • License Type: Campus Wide Site License

    • Platform(s): Windows (2000/XP)

    • This software can only be obtained by visiting room 2121 of the Physics Building. If you are a member of the physics department (faculty, staff, or student) and cannot come to room 2121 for any reason, please use the Contact Us link on the main menu above for further assistance.

Note: While much of the software contained in these pages is for the Windows Operating System, there are some programs that are useable on multiple platforms. Any piece of software listed should only be considered compatible with Windows, unless otherwise noted.
