ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The second test is graded. The average score was 13.3 with a standard deviation of 2.65 Here is the second test, the correct answers are always #1. Initially, problem #10 was graded incorrectly: cyan is the correct answer but blue-green is close enough to not be "wrong," so everyone will be given credit for that problem.
If you missed one lab during the semester and wish to make it up, then please email me with your intentions by Friday, November 20, and include the information about which lab you missed. The make-up lab will take place *after* the usual class lecture on Tuesday, November 24.
A "make-up" test will be given during the usual class time on Tuesday, December 1. If you take this test, then the lowest of the first-two regular tests will automatically be dropped. Just to be clear: It is possible that your tests scores will actually go down, if you take the makeup test.
The rules for the makeup test and the final exam will be the same as for the first test: You are allowed to have your lab book with you, and you may hand-write anything that you wish in the lab book. But, you are not allowed *ANY* printed or copied material of any type --- including my lab descriptions. After all, your lab report described what you did during the lab.
A "workbook" that accompanies the textbook is now on reserve in Library West.
It has solutions to the odd numbered problems in the textbook.
Here are some "Study Notes" on simple electrical circuits.
Here is a copy of the first test. The first answer listed is the correct answer. The average score was 14.5 . The standard deviation was 3.5 . The easiest questions that were often missed involved the demonstrations.
