PHY 2048 - Physics I with Calculus - Fall 2013

Additional homework

Doing additional homework problems beyond the formally assigned is the critical part of getting proficient in physics and succeeding in the course. We advise to do at least 10 extra problems per chapter, randomly picked from the beginning to the end of the block of problems at the end of each chapter.

Pick odd problems---they have answers at the end of the textbook. Also, you may want to check problems marked "SSM" and "WWW", for which you can find solutions at http://www.wileyplus.com/WileyCDA and http://www.wileyplus.com/halliday, respectively.

You should do more than 10 additional problems, if it takes you on average more than 5-10 min per problem (after you have completed the formally assigned set). Remember: you will have about 5 min per problem at the exams.
