 4.27.10 Overall Course Grades: The overall course grades (after all exams) are up on the PHY 2048 E-Learning WEBsite. Your HITT Points are your true points for the semester and your Quiz Points include all the quizzes. Your WileyPLUS HW Points includes all 14 assignments. Your Total Points are the sum of your HITT Points, your Quiz Points, your HW Points, and your Exam Points and have been updated. Your estimated course grade after 1 exam is in column "Course Grade 1", after 2 exams is in column "Course Grade 2", after 3 exams is in column "Course Grades 3", and your final overall course grade is in column "Course Grades 4". The points that were added to your overall quiz grade to make all the TA's have the same average is in column "Quiz Add". If you see a mistake please send E-mail to phy2048@phys.ufl.edu. I will send the grades to the registrar on Saturday morning (May 1st)!
 4.26.10 Final Exam Grades: The grades for the Final Exam have been posted on the PHY 2048 E-Learning WEBsite. The average was 12.1 with many excellent scores. The final course grades will be available in a few days.
 4.22.10 Estimated Course Grades: The estimated course grades (after three exams) are up on the PHY 2048 E-Learning WEBsite. Your Exam Points assumes that you get the same grade on the Final Exam that you averaged on Exam 1, Exam 2, and Exam 3. The make-up exam points have not been included. Your HITT Points are your true points for the semester and your Quiz Points include the first 9 quizzes. Your WileyPLUS HW Points includes all 14 assignments. Your Total Points are the sum of your HITT Points, your Quiz Points, your HW Points, and your Exam Points and have been updated. Your estimated course grade after 1 exam is in column "Course Grade 1", after 2 exams is in column "Course Grade 2", and after 3 exams is in column "Course Grades 3".  4.15.10 Exam 3 Grades: The grades for Exam 3 have been posted on the PHY 2048 E-Learning WEBsite. The average was 11.3 with one perfect scores. The new estimated course grades will be available in a few days.
 4.14.10 Teacher Evaluations: We will do teacher evaluations on Wednesday April 21 (in class). In addition to the evaluations you will be asked 4 HITT questions about the class. If you come to class and do the evaluations and answer the 4 questions you will get 8 HITT bonus points which will improve your HITT grade.
 4.14.10 Cumulative Make-Up Exam: PHY 2048 Make-Up Exam is 5:10pm-7:00pm on Wednesday April 21 in Room 1220 NPB. It is for anyone who had to miss an exam during the semester. You are allowed three crib sheets for the cumulative make-up exam. If you plan to take the make-up exam please send E-mail to phy2048@phys.ufl.edu.
 4.14.10 HW14 Due Saturday April 17 at 11:00pm: Because of the date of Exam 3 the WileyPLUS HW14 due date has been changed to Saturday April 17 by 11:00pm.

 2.5.10 Missing HITT Points: The HITT scores for about 25 students were set to zero on E-Learning by mistake. The problem has been fixed. If your HITT score still shows a zero then you should make sure you registered your remote properly.

Also, your HITT Points are based on the HITT score through 2/3/10 and your Quiz Points include only the first 2 quizzes. Your WileyPLUS HW Points includes the first 4 assignments. Your Total Points are the sum of your HITT Points, your Quiz Points, your HW Points, and your Exam Points. The grades are calculated according to the grade formula.  1.28.10 H-ITT Scores: On Thursday January 28 every PHY 2048 student was sent a gatorlink E-mail with their H-ITT scores for the semester (maximum of 12 points possible). If you did not recieve your correct H-ITT scores please send E-mail to phy2048@phys.ufl.edu.
 1.28.10 Exam 1 Review: There will be a review for Exam 1 on Sunday January 31 from 4:00pm-6:00pm in 1002 NPB. Please note the change in the room!

 1.19.10 H-ITT Scores: On Tuesday January 19 every PHY 2048 student was sent a gatorlink E-mail with their H-ITT scores from last week (maximum of 4 points possible). If you did not recieve your correct H-ITT scores please send E-mail to phy2048@phys.ufl.edu.
 1.9.10 Book and Access Code Problems: Many students (about 50 out of 600) have been unable to purchase the book and the WileyPLUS access code in time to do the first homework assignment which was due last night. If you did not do the first homework assignment I will not count it toward your overall course grade. If you did do the first homework assignment then I will count it only if it improves your overall course grade. Note that you can buy the WileyPLUS access code for the same price as the book at Direct-To-Student Website for PHY 2048. See option (3) at http://www.phys.ufl.edu/courses/phy2048/spring10/textbook.html. The first quiz and the second WileyPLUS homework assignment will count toward your overall course grade.
 1.7.10 In class graded HITT questions (student response system) now begins on Wednesday January 13, 2010, but you should get your remotes sooner for practice questions that will help you to become familiar with the system before the questions starting counting toward your grade. To get credit you must register on the system (see the instructions in the syllabus). Note that this is a change from the course syllabus in order to give the students more time to purchase, register, and test their remote.
 1.7.10 Tau Beta Pi Tutoring: The engineering honor society, Tau Beta Pi, will be holding tutoring sessions for PHY2048 this semester. Homework sessions will be each week onThursday at 6:30 PM, and exam sessions will be the Saturday 2:00 PM (before each exam). All sessions are free. Locations will be posted on the TBP website at http://grove.ufl.edu/~tbp/page.php?p=tutoring.
 1.1.10 WileyPLUS Accuracy: Some of you will miss WileyPLUS homework problems because you do not keep enough accuracy. You must get the right answer to within 2% or WileyPLUS will mark it wrong!
 1.1.10 HW2 Problem 2-70: In this problem you should consider only positive times (i.e. t ≥ 0).
 1.1.10 The first on-line homework assignment is due by 11:00pm on Friday January 8, 2010. You must register on WileyPLUS using the access code that comes with your textbook (see the instructions in the syllabus).
