ANNOUNCEMENTS

Date Announcement
04.27.11 On e-learning, you will find quiz scores (out of 20), homework scores (out of 15), final H-ITT scores (out of 5), and final scores (out of 20). The TotScore is the (Quiz + HW + H-ITT + 0.75(Exam1 + Exam2 + Exam3 + Final)). Grades are assigned accordingly. Some comments. The median scores are 4.9 for H-ITT, 16.7 for Quizzes, 15.0 for Homework, 73.3 for TotScore (grade B+). 31% of students obtained A or A- grades. 6% obtained less than a "C". Grades are non-negotiable. Many students (around 80!) were within 1 question of getting the next higher grade. Mistakes (ours!) can be corrected. Mistakes can be due to a) no registration of H-iTT clicker, b) a student having more than one UFID, c) mixing up two students with the same last name, d) problems in uploading scores. Send e-mail to phy2048@phys.ufl.edu if any of these, or any other mistake has been made.
