Note that exams are closed book. Material you are allowed to bring, including a calculator and TWO single handwritten formula sheets, is listed here.

H-ITT, Wiley, and Projected Grades Uploaded to Canvas

Your Wiley scores through HW12 and your H-ITT points collected until Apr.8 have been uploaded to Canvas. A maximum of 70 HITT points were possible so far (68 for per.5 lecture). In addition, your projected quiz, homework, HITT, and overall course grade points have been recalculated and uploaded, assuming your performance for the rest of the term equals the average so far. If you used an HITT remote and see a zero loaded, it means either you haver not registered your H-ITT remote yet or there is a technical problem with its use. Please see the registration page here.

Apr. 7

Office hour update

Daniel Jackson will be unable to hold office hours on Friday, April 8. He will will make it up with an exam review the week of the final.

Apr.3

H-ITT and Wiley Points and Grades Uploaded to Canvas

Your Wiley scores through HW11 and your H-ITT points collected until Apr.1 have been uploaded to Canvas. A maximum of 62 HITT points were possible so far (60 for per.5 lecture). In addition, your projected homework and HITT grades have been re-uploaded, assuming your performance for the rest of the term equals the average so far. Look for 'HW Grade' and 'HITT Grade' in the Canvas gradebook. If you used an HITT remote and see a zero loaded, it means either you haver not registered your H-ITT remote yet or there is a technical problem with its use. Please see the registration page here.

Mar.28

Projected Grades

Projected grades have been uploaded to Canvas. In all cases a projected grade assumes your future performance will equal the average of your past performance. The projected exam grade is based on exam 1 and exam 2 (scaling to 75 points maximum). If you had a zero for either, we assumed you had a legitimate reason to miss that exam and are on the make-up list and therefore based the projection on just one exam. If this is not the case, the projection is an overestimate. The quiz projection is based on the six quizzes 2-7 (except quiz 5 for those in sections 2852, 3702, 3703, 7127), including a 10% drop. The homework and HITT projected grades are as of Mar.19. An overall projected course grade is also uploaded summing each of the components. The grading scale is here. We do not anticipate curving the grades.

Mar.25

Exam 2 Scores Uploaded

Your raw exam score out of 20 questions (the number of problems you got correct) has been uploaded to Canvas. The class average for the exam was 13.0. The distribution of scores is here. Your exam points (each exam is worth 25 points) is your raw score multiplied by 1.25. The Exam key has been loaded to Canvas also. Go to the "Files" tab, and then select "Exam keys and solutions".

Note that an issue with some scores not uploading has been fixed as of 11:15am.

The answers you selected on the master key, as indexed by your exam code, is posted as a file also in the same directory: "Exam 2 Answers Selected By Exam Code.pdf". A "1" means you selected the correct answer, any other number is which incorrect answer you selected.

Look for 'HW Grade' and 'HITT Grade' in the Canvas gradebook.
