You must register both to get credit for your in class (HITT) responses and to use the WileyPlus online homework system.

HITT: When you respond to a question during class, you will see your remote ID number appear on the screen. The computer will store the response under the remote ID number, but it is up to you to tell us that is your remote ID by registering at http://www.phys.ufl.edu/~hitt/ . Once you are registered you will receive e-mails from us once a week indicating your HITT scores. The HITT responses during the first week of classes are for practice and do not count. Starting on Monday Sept. 1, the responses will count towards your grade.

WileyPlus: The WileyPlus online homework system is accessed at http://edugen.wiley.com/edugen/class/cls72331/. Click the Browser Check link on the right pane. This will check to see that your browser is configured properly to use the system (cookies and pop-ups, in particular), and if it is not guide you through the steps to do so.

Starting on Monday Aug. 25 and continuing through Aug. 30 we will be enrolling students nightly in the WileyPlus system based on the current classroll for the course. You will receive an e-mail message to your gatorlink account that gives you your login name (your gatorlink address) and password to log onto the system. After Aug. 30, we will enable self-registration from the URL above (click Register and follow the instructions). If you self-register, your login name must be your gatorlink e-mail address including the @ufl.edu in order to properly get credit for your efforts.

You will need an access code to start using the system. If you took PHY2048 and registered with WileyPlus previously, then the system should remember you and will automatically have access to the system. If you have not used the WileyPlus system for physics before, then you need to purchase a book/access code package from Wiley directly - not a local bookstore - as described under Textbook.

Once you have access to the site, bookmark it for easy return. You should also change your password to something more secure using the My Profile link at the top of the page.

Do not delay logging-on/registering on the system. Not getting your homework in because you waited to the last minute and had trouble registering will not excuse you from the resulting zero on the homework assignment.
