If it is already registered correctly, do not register again.

10-Feb-2010 The quizzes next week (Feb. 17-19) will be based on a computer generated practice problem. Each time you load the web page you will get a different problem. With practice you should be able to master this kind of problem, which is similar to many of the homework problems for this week.

Please make sure to start the homework early. The first assignment is due at 9PM on Jan. 18. No extensions are given for computer or other problems. If you just get the units correct, you will get approximately 50%.

11-Jan-2010

Several students who do not have a Wiley Plus code from last semester have purchased the book+code from the link under Textbook and had trouble getting the Wiley Plus code to start their homework. We have contacted Wiley directly, and they claim to have come up with the following solution.

  1. Go to their technical support chat at Wiley Plus Customer Help Chat.
  2. Enter your Name, E-mail address, and select Registration Issues with Tech. Support for Chat About. You may also select to inform your teacher about this incident. This chat is available M-F 24 hours, and Sat./Sun. 4PM-12PM EST.
  3. Once in the chat give them the following information:
    1. You are from the University of Florida.
    2. You purchased the book/code bundle from the web site listed under Textbook at left.
    3. Give them your Order Number for this purchase.
    4. Tell them you need an access code.
    5. Assuming that they verify your Order Number, they are supposed to generate an access code on the spot (no waiting).

We are told that this new system has been put in place recently. If it does not work, please send e-mail to phy2049 AT phys.ufl.edu . We apologize for the inconvenience.

07-Jan-2010
