  • Hats.  You don't wear them in church, nor in the classroom.

A serious matter:  There was a mistake in solution (b) of the square shaped circuit I showed in the review session.  The results posted on the course website are correct.  Please make a note.

6/3

The exam I scores are now posted.

5/31

I have posted the exam but the scores have not been posted yet.  There is a problem with question 8.  I had meant to change the question by changing a sentence thus asking for the work done by the electrical forces.  The answers were changed but I forgot to change the question in the end.  The question as written has only one correct answer, +3 Terrajoules which has to be None of these.  Because of the confusion, on Monday I will get it regraded so that both answers are accepted as correct answers.

There was a question about problem 6.  Here there is no mistake.  The question was discussed on Wednesday in the review.   The earlier citation in the older exam (Summer 2007)  had been graded correctly, as I recall.  I will provide the correct and detailed answer in the solutions.

The scores will be posted by your exam code.

5/25  The midterm exam I will be held on Friday May 30.  All summer exams are "in class" exams.  They are held in class and during the class hours.  You are allowed to bring a calculator and a formula sheet.  Please note that the formula sheet must not contain anything other than formulae.  In specific, it should not contain problems and their solutions in any form.

The formula sheet must be in your handwriting (not typed and/or photocopied) and clearly legible.  You are not allowed to use a magnifying glass to read the formual sheet.

A formual sheet in violation of the above rules will be forfeited. You will not be allowed use of another formula sheet for the test.

5/16    There have been several things done to solve the homework (Wiley Plus) issues.  If you are still having problems please see me ASAP.   The first homework is due Sunday  5/18 by 10PM.
