Announcements:

8/3/09  The results from the final exam have been posted at the usual place.  They are shown following the exam code.  This is also the time to remind me of any special considerations that we may have agreed to earlier in the semester.

Have a great rest of the summer..

7/30/09

For the final exam on August 3, you are welcome to bring a calculator, formula sheet (it can be three pages long), a pencil and a valid student ID.  Please do not bring any notes.  There should be no reference to problems and answers on your formula sheets.  No hats please.  You don't wear them in a church and there is no need to wear them in a class room especially during an exam.

The final exam scores will be posted on the exam link as soon as they are available.  The grades will be submitted to ISIS as soon as possible.

I wish you luck at the exam and in all your future endeavors.

6/4/09  I have had to reorganize the homework assignments and some of the due dates had to be changed.  Hopefully this does not cause too much inconvenience.

I need some feedback on whether you would prefer the second midterm on June Wednesday 17 or on Friday June 19.

We are soon to be immersed in some serious complex algebra and a little later into some vector calculus.  You ought to know most of this but I have also pilfered a refresher from Spring '09 version of this course.  Click here.

6/3/09 Tea and cookies at the usual time (Wednesdays 4:15 PM) and place (come to 2165 but check my office at 2160).

5/28/09 There is a suggested formula sheet for this exam that you can access by clicking here.

5/24/09  The exam page is now ready and I hope that it works.  It is a collection of past exams that are a great resource to practice with.  Let me know any glitches in use ASAP.

The first midterm exam is on Monday June 1.   The exam will take place during the class, in the class room and will last 75 minutes.  It will cover Ch. 21-26.  There will be around 13-15 problems.  You are allowed to bring in a formula sheet (but do not include problems and solutions), a calculator and a #2 pencil.  You should also bring a student ID.
