MCGRAW-HILL ConnectPhysics ON-LINE GRADED HOMEWORK

To get onto the online homework system you will need to enter the access code that came with the hardcopy textbook.

To login on McGraw-Hill ConnectPhysics go to McGraw-Hill ConnectPhysics and enter your Gatorlink E-mail address. Note: You must use your Gatorlink E-mail address.

If you do not use your GatorLink E-mail, you will not get credit for the homework.
McGraw-Hill ConnectPhysics offers a 21 day free trial so you can get started even if you do not have your book yet. You can enter your access code later when you get your book. The first online homework assignment is due by 11:00pm on Saturday September 3, 2011. The course Schedule Page gives the assigned problems and due dates. Once the due date/time has passed no further input of answers for credit will be accepted. It is your responsibility to get your homework in on time. Last minute computer/local server problems will not excuse you from this responsibility.

McGraw-Hill ConnectPhysics Homework Problems:
  • The problems come from your textbook. However, the numbers are randomized for each student (i.e. the problems will be same as the textbook but with different numbers).
  • You are allowed three tries for each assignment. You must first work all the problems and then submit the assignment for grading. You will be told which problems you got right and wrong and then you can work the assignment again, but you only have to re-work the problems you got wrong.
  • You can save your work and come back later to complete the assignment. Once you have completed the assignment click submit. Any problems left blank will be graded as wrong!
  • Your assignment will automatically be submitted and graded "as-is" at 11:00 pm on the due date!
  • See the McGraw-Hill ConnectPhysics tutorial for more information.
The on-line homework portion of the course will count for 20% of the overall course grade. To provide a measure of forgiveness for illnesses and possible network problems, 10% of the on-line homework scores will be dropped in evaluating your final grade. The first homework assignment (HW Set 1) will only count if it improves your overall homework grade (i.e. your homework grade will be computed twice, including HW Set 1 and excluding HW Set 1, and you will be given the higher of the two grades). The overall grade formula (PDF) shows how your homework grade is calculated.
