HOMEWORK - Recommended Questions and Problems

REMEMBER: you have to push a pencil to learn physics!
These selected end-of-chapter questions and problems are a minimum number that you should work out in order to earn a C in this course.  Those problems that are included in WebAssign (see below) are intended to get you started on this material:  the interactive feature of WebAssign should help you stay on-track in applying the key concept(s).

You should do more than this miminum number of excercises/problems if you aspire to a high grade in the course.  You won't understand the physical concepts sufficiently to apply them to the different problems on the exams if you haven't developed the necessary problem-solving and thinking skills that doing homework provides.

Keep up with the assignments---last minute cramming doesn't work in cumulative quantitative courses like physics.

Trouble in solving problems??  Please seek help from your friends, your TA, or your instructors. The Teaching Center also provides physics tutoring services.

Answers to odd-numbered problems are at the end of the textbook.

See the WebAssign page for the schedule and deadlines.
