PHY2054 Summer C 2009
Exam 2 Review: S/V Chapters
18 - 21.7
You are
responsible (i.e. should have read and noted the salient features)
for all sections except those that are omitted; the latter are noted below.
However, a 20-question test obviously can't cover every section (!) so listed
here are those sections [§] and equations [eq] on which you are likely to be
quizzed. Starred (*) equations are
quite likely to be required on the exam, but no guarantees!
As always,
the homework problems/questions are a pretty good indicator of probable
questions.
Ch. 18: §1-5; eqs.1*, 4*, 6*, 7*, 8, 9*. §
6,7 - qualitative only. Omit § 8.
There is
likely to be a question involving the use of Kirchhoff's Rules.
Ch. 19: § 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. eqs. 1*, 6*,
8*, 10*, 11*, 13*, 14*, 15*, 16*. Omit §10.
Ch. 20: § 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. eqs. 1*, 2*,
4*, 7, 9*, 10*, 11*, 14, 15*, 16*
Ch. 21: § 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7. eqs. 2*, 3*,
4, 5*, 6, 8*, 9, 13*, 14, 18, 19*, 22*
