< Thursday  13  December -   The final exam class average is 65.  The other material [ Exams 1 & 2,
                            homework, quizzes, etc.]  is being averaged.  To the three people who neglected to
                            register their hitt remotes:  If you want this component included, email me your remote
                            serial number by or before 11 PM tonight!!

< Friday   07 December -   Final Exam Composition is approximately as follows:
                         13 multiple-choice questions [1 or 2  from most chapters].  6 'Show work' questions. 
                          Approximately 25% of the exam is from chapters 12 and 13.  There are no questions
                          from Chapters 3 and 9.

< Friday   07 December -  If you are writing a paper, the topic must have been cleared with me. 
                                                   Papers are due no later than 4 PM Thursday 13 December.

< Thursday   29 November -  The COMPREHENSIVE FINAL EXAM [Chapers 1 - 13, omitting 9] is
                                        Tuesday 11 December, 7:30 - 9:30 AM. The time originally listed in the

< Wednesday   28 November -  Dr. Laura Ellis, University Organist and Music Professor, is kindly giving
                                                       the class a tour/demo of the carillon and, time permitting, the large pipe
                                                       organ in the Auditorium. Attendance is required!!   Please be at Century
                                                       Tower at 12:50  next  Tuesday.

                            An editing error resulted in a 95-point exam instead of the drafted 100 points and
                            the average was somewhat low.  So give yourself another 10 points (added to
                            your marked score) and for APPROXIMATE letter grades, assume
                            A: 90 and up;  B: 78 - 89; C: 60 - 77 ; D : 40 - 59
