ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Announcements will be posted here occur here during the semester. Please refer to this website regularly.

The scores on exam #1 were disappointing. There were 185 points possible and 43 students took the test. The high score was 134 and the low was 30; the mean was 83.4 and the median was 91. The text of the exam and its solutions are posted on the Exams icon. Note that I will take future quizzes verbatim from the exam.

The URL for faculty evaluations is https://evaluations.ufl.edu

Note that daily reading assignments are given on the homework page.

I reserve the right to give in-class, pop-quizzes at any time. The purpose of these is to discourage skipping class and also to motivate students to keep up with material. There will be no makeups; students with valid excuses will receive credit based upon their performance on the relevant exam.

The texts and solutions of old exams are posted at the Exams icon.

Note that the Final Quiz (which counts for 10% of your grade) is multiple choice, with no partial credit. Note also that you must be present to take it, in class, on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013.
