REFRENCES: Fundamentals of Statistical and Thermal Physics by F.Reif

PREQUISITES: PHY 3513 , PHY4604, and Diff. Eq.

DESCRIPTION

GRADING POLICY
Homework Five sets of HW will be assigned in this course. Each homework will be distributed as a PDF file through e-mail, usually on Friday. The due date of homework will be specified on the homework sheet (usually a week after). Make your solutions neat, concise, and intelligible.

Students can form a group (up to 2 students) and can work together. Each group, if work together, should submit one report but both authors should make comparable contributions. Each report should follow the format and style guide of Physical Review Letters (http://prl.aps.org/info/infoL.html) and should be submitted in PDF. If you are not familiar with LaTeX, you can use the Word template provided by the instructor with PRL reference style.
