There are two sections
for this course. They are being taught by
different instructors. We are following the
same schedule and covering similar content
each week in lecture, but our lectures are
not the same. If you are unable to attend
a class please get a copy of the lecture
notes from a student in your section.
Assignments and
Expectations
Lab Reports should include
(see the Prof. Ray sample
report, circuit diagrams and plots omitted):
I will consider grammar and spelling. A lab report is not
a creative writing project. It is a scientific document
of your work. Its purpose is to clearly and plainly
state exactly what your experiment was, and the
results you've observed. Please keep your sentences short,
and clear. A hardcopy of the lab reports is due by 5
pm on Thursdays in person, in my office, on the dates
shown on the Class Schedule.
Lab partners will be
reshuffled for each lab.
Skunk
Work (sample

3)
The Skunk Work proposal is due November 6th. This is the week of Lab 9.
By that time you will have worked with every other
student in the lab. By the week of Lab 7 you should start
to consider who you want to work with on your final project,
and begin to make plans for your project.
For
safety reasons, more than two students should be working in
the laboratory at any time. If you are found working alone in the lab you
will be given an automatic failure for that week's lab.
More than two students does not mean you with a friend.
You should always be evenly splitting the lab work with your partner.
Any after hours work should be done with your partner.
