Blowgun Projectile Motion

This experiment consists of a dart being fired out of a blowgun and the muzzle velocity of the dart being calculated. A laser is aligned down the tube so that a mark can be made on a wooden target, the distance from the blowgun to the target is measured, and the dart is fired. The dart sticks in the wood target and the distance it lands below the point where the laser was aligned is measured. Using the vertical drop of the dart and the horizontal travel distance the velocity of the dart can be calculated.
