This experiment uses a spring loaded gun to fire a ball at a target pad thatlays on the floor. When the ball leaves the gun it passes a photogate, when it strikes the target pad it trips the end of the timing circuit and the time of flight data is recorded and displayed by the computer using the multimedia system. The gun and pad can be separated by 30+ feet if desired.
