This experiment uses the computer/multimedia system and a photogate attached to a pulley to measure the motion of an Atwood's machine that has two different hanging masses. There are two pulleys, one measures the data, the other is a simple pulley that provides a separation between the masses. The computer graphs real time data for the students on the position, velocity and acceleration of the system.
