This experiment uses the computer/multimedia system to measure the motion of a cart during an elastic collision. A rotary motion sensor measures the linear position, velocity and acceleration of the cart as it collides with a pair of magnets at the end of the track. The magnets repel each other and create an elastic collision where the computer can plot a graph of the data collected during thecollision.
