Bernoulli Cart

This experiment uses a cart with a motorized rotating cylinder attached to it and a fan to blow air past the cylinder. The rotating black cylinder acts like a "curve ball" in baseball moving through the wind from the fan. Surface effects of the air currents around the cylinder either add or subtract velocity from the fan wind and create a force that pushes the cart at 90 degrees to the direction of the wind (ie. up or down the track).
