The garbage can is used to blow giant smoke rings across the room. Hydrochloric acid and ammonium fumes react to create a harmless smoke that makes the rings visible. The rings can blow out a candle at 40-60 feet depending on your aim. One caution-> some students may have asthma reactions to the smoke so warn them and send them to the back of the room if they have severe asthma.
