This experiment uses a flat dynamics track and two carts connected by springs to a fixed post and a mechanical oscillator that drives the system. At a frequency of approximately 0.3 Hz the system enters resonance and the oscillation of the carts increases dramatically. It's also quite sensitive to changes in frequency and will lose resonance quickly with slight changes in frequency.
