Wave Superposition Model

This experiment uses a mechanical model of a wave to show how the superposition principle works as two waves add together. The model already contains one wave form as shown by the red beads. A second wave form is added by sliding one of two wave patterns into the model. The new wave is shown by the greenbeads as they take the shape of the added wave and the red beads now show the superposition of the original red wave along with the added green wave. Constructive and destructive interference is clearly visible in this model.
