Energy Popping Capacitor

This experiment uses a pre-built device that demonstrates the energy stored in a capacitor. When the capacitors are charged a small copper wire handle creates an electrical short across the capacitors and discharges them witha tremendous "POP". It can be charged and discharged repeatedly very rapidly. The device operates at 925 Volts and 14 microFarads so there is a tremendous amount of energy present and EXTREME care should be taken in handling this device. As a final demonstration, you can unplug the device and then dischargeit once more for a dramatic example of energy storage even after the circuitis disconnected.
