This experiment uses a plexiglass triangle to show refraction of light rays as they exit the triangle. One light ray enters at the apex of the triangle and is split into two rays that then refract when they exit the triangle. It doesn't really show anything that other experiments don't show in a less complicated fashion, we just thought it looked cool so we included it! :-)
