Current Projects:
Deep Space Chamber
Prof. Guido Mueller received shipment of a Deep Space Environment Simulation
Chamber which is currently under construction in his lab. However,
the chamber (received from MIT) was too large to fit into the lab. To
make
this work, Bill Malphurs, is currently cutting the chamber down, in
order to fit another top on to the lower section. Bill will be welding
the pieces
together.

XENON : Dark Matter
XENON is a new experiment to look for dark matter particles in the halo
of our galaxy. It will operate a 1 tonne dual-phase time projection chamber
(TPC) filled with liquid xenon in the Gran Sasso Underground Laboratory
in Italy, which provides sufficient shielding for interactions caused
by cosmic rays.
