Directions to UF Campus from Gainesville Airport

Take 39th Ave. (Route 222) to Waldo Rd (Route 24). Turn left on Waldo Rd. and proceed a few miles to University Ave (Route 26). Take University about 2.5-3 miles to the UF campus, which starts at W 13th St. and University.

If you are coming on a weekend day, turn left at North-South Drive and follow the road past two lights. The New Physics Building is on the left just past the second light (Museum Road).

If you are staying at the Holiday Inn (see below), park your car at the hotel and walk or take the hotel shuttle (see below). The Holiday Inn is on the right side at 13th St. and University.

If you are staying at the Reitz Union, you can get there by turning left on North-South Drive (corresponding roughly to 20th St.) and turn left at the second light (Museum Road). The road which leads to the Reitz Union is on the left within 100 meters or so.

Directions to UF Campus from Orlando or Tampa

Take the third Gainesville exit on Route 26/Newberry Rd. at approximately mile marker #388. The exit will put you at Newberry Rd., facing North, near 75th St. Turn right (East) and drive about 3-4 miles. Newberry Rd. becomes University Ave. at approximately 38th St.

The campus starts just after 22nd St. If you are coming on a weekend, turn right onto campus at North-South Drive (roughly corresponding to 20th St.). The New Physics Building is on your left after the second light (Museum Road).

If you are staying at the Holiday Inn, park your car at the hotel and walk or take the hotel shuttle (see below). The Holiday Inn is on the left side at 13th St. and University.

If you are staying at the Reitz Union, you can get there by turning right on North-South Drive and turn left at the second light (Museum Road). The road which leads to the Reitz Union is on the left within 100 meters or so. The New Physics Building is to the Southwest of the Union at the corner of North-South Drive and Museum Road.

Parking on Campus: The Horror, the Horror...

Parking is almost impossible, even for the main lots, during the week, unless you arrive during the lunch hour. If you are staying at the Holiday Inn (13th and University), you can walk or take the hotel shuttle from there after you check in. The walk is only 10 minutes. Go down University, turn left at North-South Drive and follow the road past two lights. The New Physics Building is on the left just past the second light (Museum Road). If you are staying at the Reitz Union the New Physics Building is to the Southwest of the Union at the corner of North-South Drive and Museum Road.
