International Summer Research Program in Gravitational-Wave Physics:
Research Experiences for Undergraduates around the world

University of Birmingham
Contact: Dr. Andreas Freise
The School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Birmingham hosts one of the main groups in the LISA collaboration. The group, led by Prof. Mike Cruise, is developing several key components for the LISA Test Package (LTP), a precursor mission to LISA to demonstrate free fall in space. Andreas Freise and Prof. Alberto Vecchio are also involved in modeling and data analysis efforts for ground-based gravitational wave detectors like LIGO, Advanced LIGO, VIRGO, and GEO600. REU students would work directly with Andreas or Alberto on research projects related to their modeling and data analysis work.
