International Summer Research Program in Gravitational-Wave Physics:
Research Experiences for Undergraduates around the world
Thank you for your interest in the University of Florida's International REU program in Gravitational Physics. We are now accepting applications for 2010.
This program, made possible by the National Science Foundation, is designed to expose students to the rigors of gravitational physics research within a setting that truly reflects its international character. For a period of 8-10 weeks during the summer, participants work on research projects in some of the best gravitational physics labs in Europe, Japan, and Australia. During their stay, students also benefit from the valuable cultural enrichment that comes with living in a foreign environment. The program is open only to US residents, and we are especially interested in recruiting women and minority students.
This year we have a range of over thirty exciting projects lined up at host sites around the world. Visit the Projects and International Hosts pages for further details. Take time to explore the whole site and learn about our program.
We invite you to submit an application and partake of this wonderful opportunity! Under-represented minorities and students from small schools with limited research resources are particularly encouraged to apply.
