The dewar can be dropped keeping the magnet at 4.2 K. An Epoxy (G10) tube shown in this picture extends to near mixing chamber level. When the dewar is lowered that level, plastic bellows are stretched until the dewar is below the tail of the IVC. In this way, loss of helium gas is almost negligible during the fast warming up operation. |
