POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
HIGH ENERGY EXPERIMENTAL PHYSICS
UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA

The Institute of High Energy Physics and Astrophysics at the University of Florida invites applicants for two postdoctoral research associate positions to work on the CMS Experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. The University of Florida is a leading university group in the CMS experiment, contributing strongly to the physics program and to the commissioning of the detector, trigger, and computing systems.

The two successful candidates will focus on the CMS physics program as well as commissioning and operation of various CMS sub-systems. One position is associated with Higgs boson physics and data quality monitoring for the CMS Endcap Muon System. The other successful candidate will focus on new physics searches with muons in final states as well as on the commissioning and operation of the Level-1 Track-Finder trigger of the CMS Endcap Muon System.

We anticipate that both successful candidates will be based at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland, working with other Florida team members at CERN and in the U.S. Excellent data analysis and programming skills in the context of high energy physics experiments are essential, and a Ph.D. degree in high energy physics is required.

A curriculum vitae and three letters of recommendation should be sent to:
