Research

The current research is mainly concerned with the role of inhomogeneity and the interplay of magnetic and superconducting order in high Tc cuprates. The length scale for this interplay can be single site (embedded magnetic/non-magnetic impurities) or nano-scale (vortices and stripes). In particular we set up simple models in an attempt to explain the experimental results from e.g. STM (Scanning Tunneling Microscopy), NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) or neutron scattering!
