Group Meeting Circa 2008, celebrating some good news
(Wei Chen V.Mishra,
S.Graser, GRB, P.J.Hirschfeld. Not pictured: Lex Kemper)
Research Interests:
Primarily unconventional superconductors and multiferroics, so far, but
I have more interests than I've had time to pursue. I am interested in
strongly correlated materials in general. Heavy Fermions, quantum hall
effects, quantum criticality, and BEC related phenomena are interesting
to me. I would also like to gain some experience with one or more
high-powered computational tools (as of right now i ran some DFT code
for coursework), like QMC, DMFT, DMRG, or hybrid-DFT/analytic
approaches.
COURSES:
Demonstration of Pressure: that getting hit by a sledge hammer between
two beds of nails doesnt hurt (and is kinda fun even)

Summer 2010 Phys2053
(mechanics, fluids, heat, vibrations)
Summer 2009 Physics
2005 "Applied Physics" primarily for non-majors outside prehealth or
engineering
