The file 128HOUR.cml is data taken with a group of sources at the same large distance from a detector. Nss99.pdf I used Cambio to calibrate this by assigning the higest energy peak 2614.533 KeV (TL-208) and the peak that fell about right for K-40 line 1460.830 KeV. With much more difficulty, this could be done by hand. The sources in this spectrum along with their best estimates from RobFit are given in the table below. Robfit ended with a chi-square of 55554 for 16000 channels.

Figure 1 The HpGe 170 efficiency in black. The top line is the efiiciency fitted by templfit. Eff.grf
The results show that the fitted efficiency is not steep enough near the peak of the curve.

Figure 2 The single white line just below 60 KeV determines the Am-241 abundance.
* The efficiency in this region is not
correct.

The single white line along with the efficiency/attenuation determines the amount of Cs-137. The efficiency is unlikely to have significantly changed between single white line for Cs-137 and the yellow Co-60 to which it is normalized.

This can be corrected by subtracting the peakfit values from the 511. The over-estimate of the amount of Y-88 is due to a known bug in templfit.
[1] The fit started with HPGe95.txt. This caused templfit to fit the efficiency. The first two coefficients were not varied on the first pass. The atten1 d multiplying μ(E,Z=13) was next allowed to vary Then finally all efficiency coefficients. The result is the top curve in Figure 1.
