-
All helium use must be entered into the helium level
Detectors (HLDs)
mounted on most transport dewars.
-
Thumping dewars is no longer necessary.
-
The "BEGIN TRANSFER" & "END TRANSFER" commands enter data into
the
unit.
-
Use the "BEGIN TRANSFER" command before setting up the transfer. (At
the
same time you would normally thump the level.)
-
Use the "END TRANSFER" command after the transfer has been fully
disassembled
and the dewar pressure is back to recovery pressure.
-
The best times for these two data entry commands is just before the
dewar
is taken from storage and just before it is returned to storage. If a
dewar
is in the lab, it should be in the "transfer" mode.
-
Use the "READ" command at any time.
-
Multiple small transfers in close succession can be entered as one
usage.
-
If you forget to "Begin Transfer", before you begin to transfer, do it
as soon as you can thereafter. It is easier for Cryogeics to edit an
incorrect
entry than to figure out if one existed and to enter it from scratch.
-
Try to keep each unit plugged into the "CRYONET" at all times. (
Between
8:30 and 9:30 am this is very important.)
If there are any problems or questions, notify Greg Labbe as
soon as
they arise.
