Tea Totalers ©
The Tea Totalers is a band that my pal, Paul Sikivie, and I, David Detweiler, have been ska-rewing around with for about a year now. I play guitar and clarinet and four track and soldering gun and website manager and personal band psychiatrist and co-symbolic figurehead, and Paul plays the bass and co-symbolic figurehead. Paul is currently a member of a punk band titled MOOT which I am competing with for practice time. Steven Lieberman is our drummer.
The Tea Totalers have a jazzy ska type sound; a laid back, high style type outfit. We now have completed our previous goal of playing at the Civic Media Center. We have moved on to bigger and better things. Now our present goal is to make money playing a gig. This goal is only mostly for financial reasons. The other reasons being proof that someone would actually pay to hear us play. We actually have already been offered big bucks to play a house party($45), but unfortunatly Paul has been grounded by his fraturnal figure due to bad grades.
I must give credit to Jarrett Brunny. He is a great guy. Jarrett has been voluntarily helping out both The Tea Totalers and MOOT for as long as they have been around, and he will hopefully continue to do so. He will be hosting a Barmitzvah sometime in late June in which many bands will be featured including Less Than Jake, MOOT, Sleepie Odie, and last but probably least, The Tea Totalers! I have heard rumors of checkered yahmikas!
The Tea Totalers and Moot are putting out a joint tape sometime in early August. They will be avalible at Hyde and Ziek's, and other local record shops.

Some tunes by the Tea Totalers--This is my first attempt at posting demos. The recordings are a little bit cold, so crank up your speakers. Also, Computer speakers are known to have little to no bass response, which is too bad if that is the case on your computer because you won't be able to hear Paul on bass, and the bass is the basis of our band. We have a plethora of other tunes, but we are running on an empty tank of lyrics Please E-mail me with any comments, questions, or lyrics. Dad's E-Mailbox
