09 August---Final Exam Scores, How to Calculate your Final Score, and Letter Grade Ranges.
Click here. Most of you did very well on this
one. 28 July--- I've been asked if the mirror and lens interactive ray-tracing material
[computerized demos shown in lectures] can be made available for study help.
20 July---The MAKE-UP
EXAM will be scheduled next week. Any day and time when all of you
are available is fine with me. Those who were
approved to take this exam, please email me <dunnam@phys.ufl.edu>
ASAP giving me the times, Monday through Thursday, when you are NOT available. 16 July--- Click here for Exam 2 results Most of you did very well on this
one. As many of you know, there were difficulties
in getting this exam formatted and printed on time. Three of the diagrams
had to be put on the blackboard and there were a couple of errors that I
didn't catch. These had to be corrected later and after careful review
and discussion we decided to delete question 2 [see below]. The exam has
been rescored to reflect these corrections. 08 June----Due to a copy transposition error, one
exam question ["If a resistor obeys Ohm's law its resistance…….."] was scored
incorrectly. The correct answer is "None of these." This error has been corrected
and revised exam scores are now posted. The class average is 12.2, not a significant
change. Published approximate letter grade ranges are unaffected. 04 June----Exam
1 results are ready. Exam papers will be returned Tuesday. Click here
for exam results NOTE: Results of this exam become permanent on 10 June; any questions
about scores, errors, a make-up if you missed it, etc., must be resolved
by or before that date.
Yes!
NOTE: Question 2 has
been deleted from the scoring: as printed, it was not as composed for the
exam and the meaning was ambigous to many readers. Thus this is now a 19-point
exam. The approximate letter grades are unchanged.
