Buchler Workshop

Workshop in Memory of Robert Buchler

18 – 19 October 2013

Gainesville can be accessed in several different ways. The simplest way is to fly into the Gainesville airport (GNV). However, it is often possible to secure lower fares by flying into another neighboring city. The Jacksonville airport is a 90 minute car ride from Gainesville, Orlando International is about two hours away, and Tampa approximately two hours and 15 minutes. If you fly into one of these other airports, we recommend that you rent a car from Avis at the State of Florida rate, which we have to book for you.

If we get enough people, we can get a reduced rate at the Hampton Inn downtown, near restaurants and generally the center of activity. We can book rooms directly, contact reception@phys.ufl.edu

At this time, the Hampton Inn has no more rooms available.

Parking on campus can be difficult. While it lasts, there is hourly and daily visitor parking at the Reitz Union, across the street from Physics. See campus map.

There will be a reception Friday evening, and a dinner on Saturday.
