Abstract: The Inspiral Analysis Group of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration is currently involved in searches for the inspiral phase of neutron star and/or black hole coalescing binaries in data collected by the Collaboration's detectors. These detectors are approaching design sensitivity and are now capable of giving distinguishable signals from coalescing binaries in thousands of galaxies. In this talk I will describe the gravitational waveforms used and the methods applied for extracting inspiral gravitational wave signals from the data. I will also present the latest results and sensitivities of the searches.
