Abstract: I will cover some of the basic concepts that play major roles in numerical relativity in relation with the numerical evolution of black holes. These concepts will be describe in the framework of the "Moving Punctures" method; a recently introduced technique that has already gained wide acceptance in the field. The talk will cover some of the latest results and their implications for gravitational wave astronomy and astrophysics.
