Abstract: The halo model is a plausible phenomenological model of galaxy clustering that spans linear and highly nonlinear regimes. The model provides predictions for galaxy correlation functions to all orders, that compare well with data and with numerical simulations. Calculations of higher order results are facilitated by a generating function formulation. The halo model patterns imply scalings of galaxy and halo correlations and for the behavior of large-scale voids.
