Homework #4: The Abstract
The homework assignment is to write an abstract of your term
paper. An abstract is a descriptive summary of the paper, which
expands on the submitted title and indicates the major points to be
covered in the paper. The abstract should give a clear overview of the
content; it should be readable by the typical student in Phz4710 (a
scientifically-inclined, but non-expert, reader). If you are relying
heavily on any particular sources, you should identify them in the
abstract.
The abstract should be 250 words in length (give or take 10%), and is due at 5:00 pm on
Friday, February 22, 2002.
