Exam policy

There will be three in-class exams (in NPB 1002), each lasting 50 minutes, and starting promptly at 11:45pm. The tentative dates for each of these exams are:

Exam 1 (50 mins) Friday Feb. 8th, in class Chapters 1-4
Exam 2 (50 mins) Wednesday Mar. 19th, in class Chapters 5-7
Exam 3 (50 mins) Friday Apr. 18th, in class Chapters 8-10

There will be a cumulative final exam (in NPB 1002) during finals week. This exam will last 2 hours.

Final Exam (2 hours) Wed. Apr. 30th, 5:30-7:30pm Cumulative

The best two scores out of the three in-class exams will be worth a total of 34% (17% each) towards your final grade, i.e. roughly 1/3 of the final grade. You MUST take all three (3) of these exams. The cumulative 2 hour final exam will be worth 34% towards your final exam, i.e. roughly 1/3 of the final grade.

Make-up Policy: If you are participating in a university sponsored event, I will arrange a make-up exam provided you give me at least 7 days advance notice. A make up exam may also be possible in the event of an emergency, provided documentation of the emergency can be provided to the instructor.

Since the in-class exams will be held during the normal class period, I do not anticipate any schedule conflicts. If you have any conflict with the final exam, please let me know a.s.a.p.
